Ana Henriques has graduated Biology and obtained a Master degree in Molecular Microbiology the University of Aveiro (Portugal) in 2008. During her Master Thesis, Ana was engaged in the use of bacteriophages to control Salmonella in poultry farming. Since 2009 Ana Patricia is Manager of the Molecular Biology Unit at ALS Controlvet, From 2005 to date she has been also working as collaborative researcher for the R&D department at Controlvet, being mainly involved in Bacteriophage Research Projects. Her professional training included training in different molecular (PCR, PCR-RFLP, Real-Time PCR, DNA sequencing) and immunological (ELISA) laboratory assays, veterinary diagnostic, as well as development and management of biotechnological research projects.
