The Phagovet Project – Work packages
In order to successfully realize the project, we need to increase our production, initiate the required regulatory approvals, establish commercialization and extend IPR to protect our technology.
Starting November of 2018, the set work packages (WP) are an effective way of keeping the workflow of the PHAGOVET in check. Providing timing and a guideline so the project can have a successful growth.
WP1 – Optimization of PHAGOVET products
From November 2018 to April 2020 the main objective of this work package is to define the best phage composition of the PHAGOVET products to be active against a large number of E. coli and Salmonella strains representatives of the most common isolated from poultry industry in different European countries.
WP2 – Phage production and encapsulation
From May 2019 to November of 2021 this work package aims to the production of larger volumes of highly concentrated phage suspensions for each individual phage selected in WP1 and fine-tune the formulas to be tested in the field trials and commercialized.
WP3 – Safety, efficacy and quality assays
From January 2020 to November 2020 the main objective during this work package is the generation and gathering data required to demonstrate efficacy and quality of PHAGOVET biocide and technological feed additive products obtained in scaled-up production. This work package will show that there is no difference between laboratory and production batches and prove that PHAGOVET products are safe to use.
WP4 – Regulatory pathway and products Registration
From November 2018 to November 2021 the aim of this work package is preparing the registration dossiers required for the PHAGOVET products for their corresponding submission to the competent authorities.
